We record slopes and fixed features during the visit. The layout accounts for them and keeps outlets and vents accessible.

Do I have to empty the closet first?

Yes, the room needs to be clear on the morning we install. If old wire shelving and brackets are still up, say so at the measure and the removal is priced into the quote.

Wall-hung modules leave the floor clear below the storage. Floor-reaching panels extend down to the floor and require baseboard removal along the run. Both systems are secured to the wall framing.

We plan hanging space and shelves around what you need to store. The drawing shows each wall and the clearance between sections, including room to open drawers.

What goes in a walk-in

Hanging, long and short: Use two hanging levels for shorter garments and a full-height bay for coats and dresses.
Shelf towers: Adjustable shelves hold folded clothes and larger items at the heights you choose.
Drawer banks: Solid wood drawer boxes use soft-close undermount slides. Two- and four-drawer stacks fit into tower sections.
Shoe storage: Choose slanted shelves for shoes or flat shelves for shoeboxes.
An island: A double-sided base can combine drawers and shoe shelves. We can supply and install a quartz or stone top.
Fillers scribed to the wall: Filler panels are cut to meet the wall and close the gaps at the ends of the run.

Wall-hung module specifications

Panels: 3/4-inch furniture board with a thermally fused laminate surface. Exposed edges have 1mm PVC banding.
Depth: Standard modules are 14 inches deep; hutch bases extend to 19 inches. Hanging clothes need additional clearance. The floor-reaching closet option uses 14.5-inch-deep panels.
Widths: Modules from 18 to 36 inches wide in 1.5-inch increments. Fillers close the remaining gaps at the wall.
Heights: Tall towers: 71.25 inches. Short towers: 36 inches. Mounting height is set to suit the layout.
Mounting: Wall-mounted modules hang on cleats fastened into studs.
Finishes and fronts: White, Grey and Natural Oak, with slab or shaker fronts. Mirrored and glass fronts are available.
