Reach-in closets

Reach-in closets with room for drawers

Add drawer storage and adjustable shelves inside your closet opening. We measure the space and check the doors before planning where each section will go.

What fits in a standard opening

Double hanging
Two rods provide separate hanging levels for shorter garments.
A shelf tower
Adjustable shelves give folded clothes their own section.
A cubby box above
Divided storage above the rod keeps smaller items together.
Drawers
A two- or four-drawer bank adds enclosed storage inside the closet.
Shoes
Slanted shelves fit in a tower, with shorter towers available.
Door clearance
We plan the layout to clear existing bifold or sliding doors.

What it is made of

Panels
3/4-inch furniture board with a thermally fused laminate surface, edges banded in 1mm PVC, 1/4-inch backs.
Depth
Standard shelving modules are 14 inches deep; hutch bases extend to 19 inches. A reach-in needs 24 inches of depth for hanging clothes. We check the opening and door clearance before choosing the units.
Widths
Modules from 18 to 36 inches in 1.5-inch increments. Filler panels close gaps at the ends.
Mounting
Wall-mounted modules hang on cleats fastened into studs, leaving the floor beneath them clear.
Finishes and fronts
White, Grey and Natural Oak, slab or shaker.
Hardware
Oval rods, T-bar pulls and round knobs in chrome, brushed nickel, brass and matte black.

Installation questions

Can you do one small closet?
Yes. We measure the space and prepare a layout and written quote for a single reach-in.
How long is the install itself?
Installation time depends on the layout and any preparation work. We provide an estimate with the quote and arrange installation around product availability.
Do the doors have to come off?
Usually only for the install. If bifolds or sliders are staying, the run is drawn to clear them.
What happens to the walls?
Fixings go into the wall framing behind the modules. If the system is removed later, the wall may need patching or painting.
